This acrylic mixed‑media painting looks and feels deeply atmospheric and tactile. The base layers of sand embedded into the canvas create a textured shoreline, grounding the piece with natural grit and depth. Over this, sweeping strokes of blues and whites capture the restless sea — translucent washes for the rolling water, thicker impasto for the foamy crests. The lines of white foam break across the surface, rising and dissolving as the waves curl toward shore. Above, a moody sky looms in layered tones of slate, indigo, and soft grey, its weight reflected faintly in the wet sand below.
